Website Downtime |
27 June 2007 @ 6:32 PM |
You may have noticed that the website was down for a few hours today. Joseph was setting the site up to be compatible with the awesome new online proofing and secure ordering system that he's writing for me, and unfortunately the changes caused some unexpected downtime. But the good part is that sometime in the near-ish future, you'll be able to pay your deposit online by credit/debit/e-check card, and there will be an online shopping cart for prints. You'll be able to order from the comfort of your own home, and even allow your friends and family to order prints!
TTD Update |
21 June 2007 @ 9:39 PM |
In response to some of the questions I've gotten:
Is any purchase necessary? Nope! I'd love to handle your print order or design a mini-album for you, but it definitely isn't required. A CD of high-resolution files will be delivered, along with a printing release allowing you to have the images reproduced for personal use.
Can I take you up on this even if you weren't my wedding photographer? Of course :-).
What if I'm not a newlywed? That's perfectly alright. If you've been married for a few years, TTD may not have been an option at the time. That's no reason to miss out, though!
Are all the free TTD spots booked yet? Still available! I'll post up here when they fill up so you won't have to wonder.
Trash the Dress |
17 June 2007 @ 9:43 PM |
One of the hottest new things on the photography front is the "Trash the Dress" session. The first time I heard the term, I had images of wedding dresses covered in grime and ripped to shreds. And that can certainly be part of a TTD session if that's what you want! But trashing the dress doesn't have to mean literally trashing it. It's a fun opportunity to take some awesome photos that you definitely wouldn't want to do before the ceremony for fear of getting your dress dirty. Examples: in the swimming pool, in the rain, in the woods, and yes, even in the mud if you like :-). The guys at TrashTheDress.com have put up some awesome information and examples of their work.
So now we come to everyone's first question: Why in the world would you want to do this???? Despite what many people initially think, TTD sessions aren't done just for the sake of destroying the dress. In fact, many dresses survive the experience with a little cleaning. The real purpose behind this is to have some fun in your dress and create some fantastic and memorable images. Not to mention it's a great way to show your new husband that you're never going to need it again!
I've been itching to try this, so right now I'm running a special on TTD sessions. It's not limited to brides, either - trashing the prom dress is a great way to get some awesome and unconventional senior photos!
