 I am a photographer living in Lexington, KY with my husband and providing services to Lexington and the surrounding area. I've been interested in photography most of my life. Beginning with my first formal photography class in college, it progressed from an interest to a hobby, and from there to a way of life.
Throughout my life, I have noticed the profound beauty in even the simplest things surrounding us. The desire to capture this beauty and share it with others led me to photography. For quite a long time, most of my work was done with disposable film cameras or my 1.2 MP HP digital. A desire to learn more about the technical aspects of photography inspired me to purchase my first SLR and enroll in a photography course as an elective. Since then, photography has changed the way that I see the world. Even on the rare occasions when I don't have a camera nearby, I find myself mentally composing a photograph- seeking out the perfect view to capture the meaning of a moment, or on the lookout for the expression that shows the true personality.
I've discovered on my photographic journey that what I really love is photographing people. Capturing the first kiss
of a couple as man and wife, a child's smile or a teenager's transition into adulthood is an absolutely amazing experience. Documenting
these moments is one of the greatest gifts you can give to yourself and your family, and I'm grateful to be a part of giving that gift.
